Judith Ann's Story
After graduation, I breifly moved to Alvin with my Dad and sister Sharon. I didn't like it there so returned to live in Beeville, TX where I met my first husband. We then moved to Tulsa, Oklahoma, where my husband attended school. Upon his completion of school, we relocated to his home town, Jamestown, N.Y. Due to the weather and the slow economey in Jamestown, we decided to move back Beeville, Texas with our son. Our second son was born in Corpus Christi. Unfortunately we divorced when the oldest child was about 9 and the youngest 6.
After marrying my 2nd husband, I moved to the outskirts of Robstown, TX. I now have 2 granddaughters, 1 grandson.
Over the years, I worked as a telephone operator, cashier, Parts Manager in a Chevy Dealership, an Administrative Assistant for various Engineering Firms, and my husband and I owned our own Inventory Company. After my husband was dia...Expand for more
gnosed with Rheumatoid Arthritis and Parkinson's Disease and I began helping care for my granddaughter, I decided it was time to retire. That was in 2006. It took me 3 years to learn to be Just a Housewife.
In January 2011 we decided to relocate to our farm in Goliad and really retire. So far it has been solid labor. We have 34 acres and enjoy each other's company very much. We have come to enjoy the quiet evening on the front porch swing. We love hearing from family and both old and new friends. I used to stay busy sewing, crocheting, gardening, Canning, etc. If we ever settle down I will return to some of those hobbies.
I have enjoyed seeing and renuing old friends and neighbors. In 2010 I was asked to send out invitations and help with the All School Reunion that is held every 5 years. If you read this I hope you will contact me so I can add you to the address list.
